Yesterday, I came across a video of Jonathan Harris’ keynote talk at IDFA. I was lucky enough to be in the audience for this talk, jotting down some of his brilliant thoughts and advice on a notepad, but have been waiting for this video to be shared online so others could hear it.
I recommend that any filmmaker, storyteller, artist, musician, technologist, entrepreneur or creator of any sort should listen to the advice and answer the questions starting at 27:50 where Harris talks about “good projects” and how you should choose what you work on.
If so, so what?
Is it preferable to silence?
Is it not just timely, but timeless?
Does it articulate a more beautiful world?
Does it help you become the person you want to be?
